Domaine de Bila-Haut Occultum Lapidem Rouge 2018

Red companion to the white ‘hidden stone’ wine, from Syrah, Grenache and Carignan parcels planted on gneiss, schist and Kimmeridgian limestone. The influence of the sun-drenched mixture of these soils, together with a long 4 week maceration and maturation in concrete vats, deliver this ripped red with complex characters of leather, graphite, pepper, black fruits and Mediterranean shrub herbs. Rich, dense and fleshy with delicate tannins and a great finish.
